Sound recording quality / Flash

Hi LS´s,

for my post from yesterday, concerning a feedback for my first self made flash presentation, i did not receive at least one response… :-(

Today I would like to ask if the Sound Quality is acceptable. Unfortunately I am not able to judge it because I am on Tour in South America with a Notebook ( Sony ) only.

Would be nice to get some comments.

Sound quality was fine as far as I could determine but the overall impression I was left with was that
the ‘loud’ typeface and images presented in collage form made it feel kind of like a tourism oriented promo.
My personal taste would have been to see a few less images and each image presented individually or,at best,
two verticals presented symetrically in the horizontal format.

Thanks Mark.
In this case my intention was to be as loud as possible ( font, amount of pics on 1 page, sound ).
Carneval here in Rio is an event that is as “loud” as it can be and the people would like to have fun in this way.
Hope to be able to transmit this “fun” with the presentation, No ???

Roger,

Your images are great and I liked the multi-image pages. I did find that the audio levels were a bit high. This cause some of the highs to be crunched… but I’m working as an audio tech and using some fairly high-end headphones, so I’m probably being too picky.

All-in-all, nice work!

Thx Art !
As you for sure know ( you are livining in Venezuela ) the people here love it loud. On most events, Sound quality is not really the matter. This means the “highs” are crunched in original too… :-)

Would appreciate some more comments from other LS`s, please…

I hear the same crunched highs through four-year-old bookshelf stereo speakers. Besides that, I would suggest mixing it up in the collages—portraits with wide shots, for example. Each collage seems to lack dimension because they’re all the same shot, just of different people.

My biggest problem with your presentation, though, is that now I want to go to Rio.

Thx Jerome,

will think about it…
Concerning your “problem”: Move on ! It’s an exciting place, everyday…

I love the energy in the photos but I do agree that they could stand alone.
The moment of the still image captures the energetic event, using too many of these moments together in one page can be claustophobic.

The sound is cool, maybe some screaming participants?

hope this helps.
