Barcroft India require a photographer to work from their office in New Delhi.
This role is a wonderful opportunity for an adventurous and ambitious professional. Working with our Bureaux Chief, you will be expected to shoot news, features, entertainment, animals and anything else that our broad range of clients may require. You will also deputise in his absence.
Our patch includes countries as challenging as Pakistan and as exotic as the Maldives, so experience of foreign travel and a willingness to rough it at times are vital.
You will have worked for major regional or national newspapers, either through a local agency or as a freelance.
You will be fully computer literate, and used to researching stories on the internet and transmitting pictures whilst on the road. A working understanding of shooting video is desirable.
You will be required to liaise with clients so a positive personality is essential.
A good knowledge of India and South Asia would be beneficial but is not a pre requisite.
