Steve Barru

I’m an American photographer living in Beijing. I’ve been in China now for 20 years and done all kinds of things during that time: operated my own consulting business, worked as an advisor to overseas companies and expatriates, served on the board of a community-based international school, been a teacher. I speak Chinese and like to think I understand a bit about how things work in this very complex society.

I am available for assignments in Beijing and elsewhere.
