Born in Switzerland & raised in the UK, Stuart Isett is an American editorial and corporate photographer based in Seattle, WA, USA. After working out of Bangkok, Tokyo and Paris, Isett moved back to the United States, but continues to report internationally. His work has recently been shown at Visa Pour l’Image in France, the Reportage and Foto Freo festivals in Australia, the Daegu Photo Biennale in Korea and the Wing Luke Asian Museum in Seattle. Since 2011, Isett has worked on contract for Fortune Magazine providing photography coverage at their Brainstorm Tech, Green and Most Powerful Women conferences.
He was recently featured on Arirang TV’s “In Frame” series in South Korea, in two episodes, Port of Contrasts and Islands of Life.
Isett has worked on assignment for The New York Times for nearly 20 years and his work has also appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Time, Newsweek, Fortune, Businessweek, Le Figaro, Geo, The Independent on Sunday and Life Magazine among others, as well as in numerous publications across Europe and Asia. He has an MFA in Photography from Columbia College in Chicago and a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Michigan.
He is represented in New York by Polaris Images.
