We are organising a workshop that will be run by one of the most exciting and original photographers practicing today – Rinko Kawauchi. It will take place in Stoke Newington, North London, from the 1st June until the 5th June.
There will be 10 participants on the workshop which will cover five days of classes, slideshows and an artist ‘in conversation’ with Martin Parr . We’re focused on making this an intense and unique week to take advantage of the experience and teachings of Kawauchi and the dynamics of the fellow photographers taking part. About the workshop
This will be a practical workshop, giving you an opportunity to create new work or develop an existing project with the help of Rinko and ten photographers in the group. The workshop will take place in an artists studio, a beautiful space ideal for the sharing and discussion of work. The hope is that Rinko’s workshop will shed new light on your photographic practice and trigger new openings.
Timings: Monday June 1st to Friday June 5th. 10.00 start â€“ 18.00 (flexible finish) with 1hr lunch break.
Location: Stoke Newington, North London (12 minutes by train from Liverpool Street Station)
Workshop costs: Â£480. This does not include film and developing costs.
Media: Film or Digital are welcome. If digital, a laptop would be advisable. The studio is equipped with a video projector.
