Submission call Studio304 Slideshow_Sunday November 9th

Call for Submissions:

I am happy to announce that we are back and ready for our VIIII Slideshow. The theme of this show will be: Purple, illusion and light . You can choose one of the themes to create your body of work.
So do what you need to do – edit/choose your work, create new work and show us something special.

The Slideshow will be running the same day as Beta Spaces 08 “a day of multi-disciplinary group art shows, which encourages artists to transform the private and public spaces of Bushwick into exhibition spaces: living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, studios, streets, subways, sidewalks, and gardens. The festival will take place within a 10-block triangle south of Johnson Street, east of Bushwick Avenue, and west of Jefferson Avenue.”

The slideshow is open to all visual arts! Photography, paintings, drawings, multimedia, video, etc. – all is welcome as long as it is short (under 5 minutes) and in a digital format we can project from our laptop to the big screen. Submission Date:
We’re asking that work be submitted on CD/DVD by Friday November 7th so that we have time to put together the evening’s presentation.

Guidelines:
For videos and multimedia:
-less than 5 minutes
-burned to a dvd or cd
-able to play on standard software
-no internet required

For still images:
-image should be JPEGs with pixel dimensions of 1024×768 (be it horizontal or vertical, under Image Size in Photoshop just make sure the longest side of the image is 1024 pixels)
-filenames should contain numerical sequence and artist’s name (01Catalan.jpg, 02Catalan.jpg)
-25 images or less (but if you have a special idea, this is negotiable)

Mailing/Dropoff:
Please mail or drop off your CD/DVD to Studio 304. The address is:

You may drop your CD/DVD off at Studio 304 during business hours. Just go to the above address and ring buzzer number 17. This is the building office, and you can drop your CD/DVD there from 9am-5pm.
