FYI..

The brown school piece was shot with all vertical video. Two parents, two teachers, and two students.

It’s where I went to high school.

One problem encountered when testing..

The Brown School piece doesn’t show the video scrubber or link to the Brown School website like it does at it’s original location..

Probably because the video scrubber is using a different .swf file..

I wonder what the fix is for this?

Horror Home was terrific.

Someone mentioned about converting QT movies to Flash. How might I achieve this? I have an old 700mh iBook G3 and cannot install iLife6 for the iDVD facility. Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers.

It might work if you add the full link to the swf file in your actionscript. I guess that you have used the shortened local address?

Haha! I didn’t make any of the videos for the Film Fest piece, I just put the presentation together that can be syndicated. The three on top were the “winners.” I still had a lot to learn when I did that piece way back with Flash 7 video. Still do.

I know there is free flash video encoding software out there but I don’t know the names of them. I’ll look her up and ask around the lab for you Paul when I get outta class.

Nathan, I tried exact url but, sadly, no avail. I’ll play with all this more later tonight when classes are over.

Thanks fellas!

Paul, You can find a procedure for that in the tutorials section.

Got the scrubber working!

Thanks Nathan, you were dead-on! I thought I had the full url in the FLV Playback component inspector but upon further inspection I was wrong.

Still haven’t figured the link not working though..

Got the outbound links working.

Discovered that with flash 8 or CS3 authored swfs,

you must set the allowScriptAccess parameter to “always” instead of “samedomain”

to get outbound links working.

Paul, didn’t have any luck finding a good free flash video encoder.

Many apologies.
