Great. Showed it to my boss and she wanted to know my excuse for not being able to paint my way out of a paper bag. On top of that, now I’m expected to deliver graphic art along with video, for the same stupid old photographer wage. That or a pink slip, naturally. Thanks.

Ah, Bob. Time for a little Dr. Seuss pedantry: It’s from “Horton Hatches the Egg,” and it goes, “An elephant is faithful, one hundred percent.” ;>)

i saw this on television a few weeks ago and was dead impressed until they explained that the mahout is directing the whole thing by tugging on the elephants ear to guide the line left or right, up or down.

still pretty amazing and something i doubt i could teach my very smart dog to do, but it seems wrong to imagine that the elephant knows what its doing or has any concept of 2 dimensional representation…

hmmm..
well here’s an absract original painting by an elephant, “entirely unaided or directed by human hand and influence”

Preston: ;))))))))....

u got me…and my Seuss agility aint what it used to be ;))...especially since Dima is 14, and it’s been a while since i read them to him :))...but, im happier his faithfulness is 100%! :))...

not pedantic at all, as a writer, I need to be corrected, especially by a fellow writer…but, i’ve gone on too long already, so:

“So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads.”—Dr. Seuss (advice I should heed more often, as you’re well aware ;))))

cheers
