The New York Sun seeks Photo Assistant

PHOTO ASSISTANT

The New York Sun is looking for a part-time photo assistant to will work closely with the photo editor and night photo editor in a fast-paced newsroom. This job requires someone who can work well under pressure and can handle tight deadlines, and this person must be able to commit to working Sunday thru Thursday, 3-8pm.

Primary responsibilities include photo research and photo production. Proficiency in Photoshop is a must, and working knowledge of stock agencies and wire services is preferable. This person must be comfortable with color-correcting and close-cropping photos, photo research, and will support the photo department in the daily tasks of publishing a 5-day daily New York newspaper.
