The Photographer: Into war-torn Afghanistan with Doctors Without Borders
Didier passed away when he should not have not long ago. He was a dear friend of mine.
The character in the book IS Didier. But he was much more than that.
He was at LS, but his profile seems to have disappeared.
The link to his website doesn’t work…
Very sad…

I was offered the 3 comics + dvd for last Xmas, I love it!
And it increased my will to visit the Stan (not for war coverage but for people, culture and landscapes)… Unfortunately a treacherous journey by now…

this book is next on my shoppinglist from amazon as well :)

It’s a rather big book, about 12 inches on the long side and an inch thick. My copy arrived in the mail today and I have just started reading and I’m liking it so far. I’ve reached the part where they gave Didier his Afghan name. I’m afraid I might not be able to put it down the next time I sit back on the couch with it.
