One of New York’s oldest arts organizations, The Camera Club of New York has a long tradition of welcoming both photographers and devotees of photography and encouraging their participation through membership, classes, lectures, exhibitions and the Darkroom Residency Program (the only year-round photo program of its kind in the city). Since its founding in 1884, the Club has nurtured many talented photographers whose careers cover a wide range of disciplines, including portraiture, photojournalism, fashion, street photography, advertising, documentary and fine art.

We recently moved to a wonderful location in the heart of New York City. And our new facilities include:

• Access to the facilities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

• Well-equipped private black and white and color darkrooms

• Fully-equipped 20′ × 16′ shooting studio includes large array of light
• Color Processor: Colex 32". Print capacity up to 30″ × 40″

• Color viewing area with balanced lighting

• Archival print washers for black and white prints up to 20 × 24

We also have a gallery with rotating exhibitions every 6 weeks. Coming up on December 17th is the work of a talented group of photographers who were the winners of our annual juried competition. This year’s juror was the renowned photographer Italian Paolo Pellegrin.
