I spoke with a Verizon rep this morning who told me that a Kyocera KPC650 card can work with a MAC Powerbook and that the coverage areas are great.  The card fits into your G4 and gives you broadband access.
Has anybody used one of these yet and have a report?
The Verizon store I visited has a promotion plan of $59 a month if you are using a PC but MAC users have to order online and the plan starts at $79 a month. 
I hate adding a new bill to the budget but sometimes pull my hair out looking for a hot spot to move photos.
