Afghanistan travel buddies

I’m planning for a photo trip that would take me roughly from Kabul to Mazar, but through Bamiyan and Band e Amir, and then a road that would take us straight north to Balkh via the Ajar valley (i.e. skipping the salang tunnel). Since i want to do this comfortably, i’m thinking of hiring a car and a knowledgeable driver, and expect this leg of the trip to take 5-7 days, starting around 22nd July.
