truth needs no ally

Does anyone have any opinions on Howard Chapnick’s book, “Truth Needs No Ally”? I quickly glanced at a copy in a shop, but the $30.00 price tag seems a little high having just added the title of father to my life.

Reading it right now. I'm really enjoying it. Check on amazon, they should have used versions for less. I think it's worth the money. I also didn't buy it ;).

Buy it! Its my bible on photojournalism. I can always count on it when I am traveling near or far for insight and knowledge on the gig.

i think that the industry has completely changed since Chapnick wrote that book, but it's still a no brainer in my opinion... a dear friend gave me her copy a couple of years ago and it's been a great insite and inspiration.. and if nothing else i think it has very beneficiall historical context.

Great book, must have, worth the price. 'Nuff said...

Will do. I am now reading "Journalists Under Fire" by Anthony Feinstein and it is very interesting. The Chapnick book will be next.

It's a great book, maybe a bit dated now but all the principles hold true. The chapter(s) on cropping are superb. Buy it.
