TV wants some stills

A TV show recently approached me in a request of some of my images.

Any idea or direction I should go or look to price images for TV?

You can email me at nathan@armesphotography.com if need be.

Thanks a lot folks.

i must confess: i am not realy into this…
but why would you charge a tv station more/less than a newspaper company?

To me the price per second is only slightly less than full motion video. An example are historical shows like Ken Burns, “Civil War”. Good Photos are Zoomed and Panned (DVE)to make them look much like full motion video. For the editor time is time. The bottom line is, if they can locate or re-create the same images for less, tell them to go for it!

Nathan look at the Broadcasting rates at http://www.londonfreelance.org/feesguide/phbrorat.html
The prices are only a guideline if it’s a popular TV show it can go into the thousands.
Is it for a ‘flash’ how long etc. all important things to consider. Find out what they want, look at the BBC TelPic for all the variations of usage.
