I hope everyone’s summer is starting out great. I wanted to spread the word about two weekend workshops I’m teaching at ICP in real soon. Both classes will be taught in the digital labs at ICP and there’s still space available if you would like to register.

Digital Camera RAW 07MDW01 One Weekend July 14 & 15 10am- 5pm
The workshop will help you gain control over the quality of your RAW files. We will be working in Adobes’s new CS3 which has an improved features for getting the most out of your digital negatives. This workshop will demystify the conversion process and its tools while providing techniques on workflow, color profiles and adjustments and digital style.Students are expected to have basic controls of Photoshop’s tools and digital photography.
Saving Time: Photoshop Actions and Batch Processing 07MDW03 One Weekend July 28 & 29 10am- 5pm
Students will focus on building a workflow that can take digital photographs to its fullest potential fast. We will learn to use Photoshops built-in actions and how to create them to meet your workflow goals. You can record color corrections and tonal adjustments and apply them to multiple files. Work efficiently to prepare print files and easily create web files. Work the images once and save the work layers, print file and web files with one button. We will discuss and critique the use of actions to simulate various films. Personal style will also be discussed and encouraged through examples of popular techniques. Students are expected to have basic controls of Photoshop’s tools and digital photography.
