Since 1994 the first time that traveled to Gaza his films have been broadcasted by BBC 2, BBC WORLD SERVICE, CNN, AL JAZEERA ENGLISH and CANAL +, among many others. His texts and photographs have been published by El PaÃs, Der Spiegel, Reuters and The Washington Post.
Aranzadi gets the story out from hostile environments, living with the FARC guerrilla in Colombia, interviewing talebans in Afghanistan or accessing to Al Shaabab training camp in Somalia… and those are just some examples of his extensive war experience.
Using his cameras, pen and microphones he reveals the uncovered scenarios of the so called “global war against terror†specially those areas where human rights are violated.
His independent documentaries about international current affairs have an alternative journalistic angle in which media is use for a social change. For him journalism means activism.
His work has been supported by CNN International, The Rory Peck Foundation and Amnesty International. Aranzadi is member POLARIS IMAGES (New York) one of the most representative photojournalism agencies in the world.
