PERSONAL GEOGRAPHY
Born in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, a small town close to the Austrian border.
Due to a fortunate turn of events I moved to Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, at the age of 4. I was brought up by my family, by my friends and their families, by my neighbors and teachers and street thugs and all the other beautiful people I encountered while growing up.
Spent the war and the siege of Sarajevo sharpening survival skills.
I moved to Montreal, Canada in 1999 where, for 8 years, I worked as an engineer in aerospace industry, until I finally gave up my promising engineering career, bid farewell to the corporate world and became a full-time photographer.

Documenting the research trip with the writer Aleksandar Hemon for his latest book. Selection of the photographs from the project have been published in The Paris Review in 2005.
