About

PERSONAL GEOGRAPHY

Born in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, a small town close to the Austrian border. Due to a fortunate turn of events I moved to Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, at the age of 4. I was brought up by my family, by my friends and their families, by my neighbors and teachers and street thugs and all the other beautiful people I encountered while growing up. Spent the war and the siege of Sarajevo sharpening my survival skills. I moved to Montreal, Canada in 1999 where I worked as an engineer in aerospace industry, until I finally gave up my promising engineering career, bid farewell to the corporate world and became a photographer, though I have been one, secretly, all of my life.

FUTURE AND WORK IN PROGRESS

Images on the web - color management

Please help me to understand (I’m sure it’s been discussed before so forgive me)…When I upload images online, in Firefox the colors look terrible, pale. In Safari they look like on my local drive, OK to my eye that is. I convert images from Adobe 1998 to sRGB before uploading online.

Question, is there something the user (me) can do to color manage Firefox?
Is it true that we should convert images to sRGB color space when uploading online?

MANY THANKS
