Photographer and filmmaker Veronika Lukasova grew up in the
communist Czechoslovakia and in 1998, after finishing her MAs in Musicology and Linguistics moved to Washington DC, USA, where she lived and worked for twelve years. Veronika became a regular editorial, feature and news contributor to The Washington Post Magazine, The New York Times, The Atlantic Monthly, The AARP Bulletin, Lidove Noviny
Magazine, Zen and others. In 2010, Veronika moved to London, UK,where she is currently based.
Veronika was awarded 1st place Golden Eye Award at the Czech Press Photo, 2nd place in International Photo Award amongst other awards and honorable mentions. Her panoramic large print documentary series “Occurrences was exhibited at the Bohemian National Hall, New York and Rayko Photo Center, San Francisco. Veronika’s short films were featured at The Photo Ireland festival, Sony Photo Award festival in London, and Derby Photo Festival, UK.
