Véronique de Viguerie, free-lance photographer represented by Reportage by getty Image, worked and lived in Afghanistan and Pakistan for a long time. Since 2006, she is covering different places such as Lebanon, Somalia, India, Bangladesh, Israel, Kashmir, Cameroon, Irak, Mexico, Mali, Libya etc. Her work is regularly published in Newsweek, New York Times magazine, Stern, Paris-Match, Geo, Figaro magazine, Marie-Claire, The Guardian, La Republicca etc.
In 2006, she published her first book on Afghanistan: ‘Regards Croisés’.
In 2006, she won the Canon prize for the Female Photojournalist of the Year and the Lagardère grant for Young Talent. In 2010, she won the best War reportage at bayeux Festival. In 2011, she got a second book published with the journalist she is working with, Manon Querouil “Carnets de Reportage du XXIe siecle”.
