His work revolves around human rights issues. He has worked on stories about Burmese and Somali refugees in Malaysia as well as stories on homelessness and urbanisation issues. He has been published in ‘Nasi, Baju, Rumah’- a Demand Dignity project by Amnesty International Malaysia. Vignes work has been exhibited in Kuala Lumpur and Vietnam.
Vignes was a student of Ron Haviv at the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Manali, India in 2009 and winner of the Golden Scarf Award. Vignes was also recognised as an emerging photographer by the Aisa-Europe foundation in 2009. Vignes has also worked on assignment with Polaris as assistant to Yannis Kontos in 2010.
