Apparently one of the qualifications for the Blue Plaque scheme in the UK
is that you have to have been dead for 20 years. But Southwark council
(in London) who are running this vote have slightly different ideas and
this is their own scheme. One of the nominees is still living.
I’m sure you’ll get one. As for me, just cast my ashes to the four winds
and breath a sigh of relief.

Tony Ray Jones has one, which made me very happy indeed
|
I am reliably informed that Sir Cecil Beaton, 21 Langland Gardens, London NW3;
Terence Donovan, 30 Bourdon Street, London W1; Roger Fenton, 2 Albert Terrace,
Primrose Hill, London NW1 as well as the one and only Tony Ray-Jones,
102 Gloucester Place, London W1 are all honoured.
