What billing/invoicing software are you using?
|
|
I just make PDF files and email them. No templates. All manual. Tedious plus plus.

Actually, for simpler tasks under $500 I often use PayPal.

Fotoquote / Fotobiz
Has made me thousands extra when I didnt have a idea what to charge for some jobs. It obviously has invoicing template’s and all that too.

BlinkBid Pro is great. Had it on 14 day trial and plan to get it soon.

Charlie,
Are you looking for software to price a job/photos and/or invoicing templates?
I have used PayPal invoices and paper printed invoices using Microsoft Publisher’s invoice template. Some companies apparently liked my PayPal invoice and the price, they paid overnight, but one company just sent me a payment with a check after I agreed upon a price without my sending an invoice although I had send a PayPal invoice to them.
Right now I am gradually saying good bye to my old computer on which I have used Publisher. My new (used machine) laptop has Microsoft Office 2007 having Word and Excel. There are invoice templates available for Excel from the Microsoft site as well as others, but I have not used them yet as I don`t have a printer for my laptop.
As for pricing, I have used Fotoquote, the version available through PhotoShelter. You can buy a full version from them. I don`t know whether they still offer a discount.
Please note PayPal charges you a fee the percentage dependent on the volume of bills you are passing through them.

InView/StockView from www.hindsightltd.com (demo available for download).
A great program not just for billing/invoicing but keeping track of your entire business. Frequently updated, great customer support and with more features than you may ever need.

So here’s what we have so far: Fotoquote / Fotobiz BlinkBid Pro InView/StockView Invoice 2
Ideally a comprehensive software program would be ideal, especially something that helps keep track of which clients I have been in contact with and that can integrate well with Apple programs like mail, iCal and Address Book. I’ll check out the sites some more so thanks all!

There’s also Numbers built into the Intel Macs that looks good. I took a spin through yesterday.

Bills in @ $79 which is $78.99 over my stupid budget for simple number crunching.
