What’s your day rate? is a new resource designed to anonymously gather information about current fees being paid for editorial assignment photography. The idea is based on the National Union of Journalists’ London Freelance recent rates guide. This is an informal survey of working photographers. The accuracy of the information cannot be guaranteed, as anyone can anonymously edit or add day rates to the site.

how does one add info? I can type it all in but there’s no “submit” button to save the form.

Hey Brendan,
On the main page, click “Click here to add a day rate.” On the next page, click the button that says “add day rate.” On the next page, put the publication and day rate info in and then click “save.” You’ll return to the second page where you have to click “save table.”
The process is a little complicated, but is required by the software to get rid of problems caused by two people editing at the same time.

You should have a currency option… the US dollar being what it is… perhaps at least EUR and GBP…

got it – I think it was either a problem using Safari or the page just didn’t load all the way.
