What to charge for a picture

What should I charge for a picture to be publish in a book (educational), with a print run of 25,000 and world distribution. What else do I need to consider? Can anyone help?

Fotoquote has a category for “Textbooks” and if you plug in the 25K print run for a full pg. photo it’s coming in around $500 US, it does add that for “World Rights” a additional 100% should be added. A half pg. photo would be around 35% less. I think this might be a good starting point for you, better to bid high and work down then under bidding and being stuck with it. Obviously do not give away your copyright. Good luck..
