Widelux panoramic camera.

Hey there,
anyone has been using widelux? What is your tips, F6 F7 or F8?
I have an xpan, but i am more looking to something more “extreme” and can’t afford the 30mm, so I was considering getting a widelux.
Anybody selling it?
best

oi Joao – from what I have been told by the grandmasters at Nippon photo clinic – the F7 and F8 have the best/sharpest lenses – but the internal construction of the F7 is actually better than the F8.
You should also keep in mind that the Widelux factory shut down a while ago, so there’s no new parts to be ordered when you need repair – that’s a problem, because Widelux’s break down A LOT. I have three of them, and they’re in constant rotation between the road and the mechanic.
Depending on where you live, you can have new parts fabricated- places like Delhi, or probably Bangkok, etc. you can have new parts custom made and installed relatively cheaply – in NYC, no luck – so there’s probably a good ebay business to be had for someone in the developing world who can traffic custom made gears, etc to the “first world”.

Hey Teru,
I hate living on the so called 1st world, so it is probably easy to have replaces custom made. Thanks for the tips, so it seems that the F7 is the one I should want, right?
thanks again. :)

The are a total pain to load, btw. You have to thread the film up/down/around/behind lots of rollers and a curved film chamber.
