I received this email from LA Times staff photographer Rick Loomis the other day, and thought I would pass it along. This is an amazing three part series that Rick worked on in November of 2005, about the medical care available to all of those injured as a result of combat in Iraq.
“Greetings friends,
Just a quick heads up about a series that started today in the Los Angeles Times. The subject matter deals with U.S. wounded in Iraq and the medical treatment they receive from the battlefield and beyond. It will run in the paper from Sunday, April 2, 2006 through Tuesday, April 4th. The website has an extensive audio-visual presentation separated into three parts. Please check out www.latimes.com/wounded if you have some spare time.”
The final chapter just posted a little while ago and I had a chance to look at the entire story. It is a great piece of work that Rick, reporter David Zucchino, and all of the editors/producers involved have put together.
