Yahoo! photos shut down?

Ok So I’m an idiot. I learned this morning Yahoo! Photos shut down “to concentrate on Flickr.” If I didn’t move everything by an undetermined date it all vanished.
I have a lot going on and those emails were in all likelihood lost in the shuffle.

Did this happen to anyone else? Is there recourse to this?

No recourse anymore. If you did not take the opportunity to move your photos, unfortunately they are no longer available.

Free hosting. Worth every stupid penny one paid for it.
