Yasir Iqbal

Born in Kashmir (India) the land of gorgeous landscapes popularly known as paradise on earth. After graduating in tourism studies i took up all odd jobs for living in early period of my career. My passion for photography always revolved in my head and heart since childhood; though i never hold a camera in my hand until i was 29.I would always observe my surroundings and try to compose the imaginary frames, I would always love to express my thoughts and ideas visually as i strongly believe in visual medium. Eventually this entire obsession for photography led me in to this wonderful profession and a new beginning kicked off in my professional career by gaining the first assignment in a local daily newspaper in 2007.Since then i have crafted myself to produce some thought provoking and story telling imagery and has developed a strong sense of composition, apparent in images such as portraiture, photojournalism, landscapes etc.
In the course of time i have worked with regional,national and international publications like Discover India,Fortune India,Civil Society,Reuters,Save the children(NGO),Open magazine,Conveyor magazine etc.
