Young Central American photojournalists can compete for prize

June 30 is the deadline to submit entries for a photo competition for young photojournalists from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.

Under the theme of “democracy and local development from the youth lens,” the competition will accept works from photojournalists under age 30. Participants may send no more than 10 works in JPG format and 300 ppp resolution. First place will win US$1,500; second, US$750; and third, US$500.

Works must be sent to Fundación DEMUCA Apartado postal 697-1005 San José, Costa Rica.
