Dear Photographer:

Adventure magazine is working on a Bhutan story, scheduled to run in our May 05 issue. We are looking for images on the following specific locations with an emphasis on people enjoying themselves (trekking, biking, having a good time, etc.)

- Punakha Valley
- Punakha Dzong
- Punakhas alpine villages with chalets
- Dochu La, 10,000ft mountain pass outside Punakha
- Signs of ancient religiosity
- Jigme Singye Wangchuk, the young, Western-educated king
- Aman Kora and Uma Paro hotels
- old-school Bhutanese trekking lodgings
- mountain biking trails
- town of Paro
- Paro valleywith serrated Gangkhar Puensuum
- Paro river, Paro Dzong, Taktsang monastery complex
- archery contests
- Timphu, the capital, internet cafes(the Art Cafe)next to cattle plots, nightclubs (Space 34) and nightlife, market scenes

We have a lot of traditional images right now and need more lifestyle, adventure oriented imagery.

Please feel free to recommend people you know who may have pictures as well.

We are able to view digital or online submissions, but prefer original 35 mm slides and prints. Please call for a messenger if in New York or use our shipper: UPS – A2778F OR Fedex – 2365 72056. Please send to my attention by Wednesday, 3/30/2005. Please call with any questions, or if you need more time. Please reference story no. MA3046 in your submission.

Thank You!
