I heard that the link in my posting to Media Bistro is not working. You might try going to the site and doing a job search under “production coordinator” and look for “Phaidon Press.”

To give you a little more info – the job entails controlling book manufacturing from the point at which final files and original images (usually color transparencies, photo prints, and hi-res files) are handed off from our editors/designers. Materials have to be trafficked to suppliers, with whom there is regular communication in order to ensure the highest quality of color reproduction and manufacturing. The color correcting is done through wet-proofing, so it’s necessary to be able to convey color moves remotely.

There’s also a lot of other detail oriented tasks that have to be kept up to date including reprinting titles, producing paperback editions, foreign editions, sales and maketing materials (blads and dummies, although the marketing division handles printing their own smaller promo materials and fliers), etc. What can I say? There’s always a lot going on here! (Let me know if you have any questions.)

Hey Retsu — I went ahead and corrected the links in your postings. Lemme know if you have any questions about that!

Thanks, Shinji. I think I figured it out recently too. It seems I needed to have typed:

quotation mark, copy-and-paste the url, quoation mark, colon, then the three letters “u,” “r,” and “l.”

(I had been confused about what I was to type in the quotes and what I was to type to the right of the colon.)
