Los Angeles, CA: Women In Photography International (WIPI) announces a call for entries for Beauty: Camera Eye of the Beholder, an international juried online photographic exhibition of works by female photographers exploring the concept of beauty. Deadline for entries is May 1, 2005, midnight PST. Exhibition will run from June 1-September 1, 2005 at www.WomenInPhotography.org.

Beauty will feature 100 juried images on WIPIs web site. The call for entries is open to professional and amateur female photographers using any photographic process. Entries must illustrate or explore beauty in one of eight categories: Architecture, Conceptual, Environmental, Fashion, Lifestyle, Photojournalism, Portrait and Still Life. All entries must be submitted as digital files via the online form at www.WomenInPhotography.org.

Merriam-Webster Main Entry: beau·ty
Function: noun

Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, as the saying goes. Given the subjective nature of beauty, entrants are encouraged to push the boundaries of accepted notions of beauty and show their distinctive perception of beauty. Entries can illustrate traditional ideas of beauty or explore more abstract forms of beauty.
